Fulani braids are a particular type of braided hairstyle. They are called Fulani braids because they originated from a tribe called Fulani from West Africa and Sahel. Traditionally, the style will feature a central canerow in the middle of the head with canerows on both sides.
There’s also a canerow that goes along the hairline on both sides of the head above the ear dropping towards the face. These braids can commonly be styled with beads and other forms of hair jewellery just as charms and rings. Single plaits would be at the back section of the hair either in the form of box braids or knotless braids.
